Status of the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission

 


Precis: The ocean transportation supply chain continues to be disrupted by unprecedented congestion, delays, equipment shortages and increases in freight rates and demurrage/detention charges. Chairman Daniel Maffei of the Federal Maritime Commission, which regulates ocean carriers, marine terminal operators and ocean transportation intermediaries, will join us to provide an update on the commission’s efforts to address the many issues affecting the ocean transportation industry.

CPSC 2022 Initiatives
