Fields, Janet B.

Janet B Fields (Jan) began her career with John S James Co in 1974.   She advanced from Export Administrator to Office Manager and now holds the position of corporate director of Human Resources at John S James Co as well as managing the Savannah office of John S James Co.  Jan became a licensed Customs Broker in 1988, a Certified Ocean Forwarder in 1997, a Certified Customs Specialist in 2006 and a Certified Export Specialist in 2009.  Jan has served as President of the Savannah Brokers & Forwarders Association and is now the Legislative Chairman.

Jan currently represents the Southeastern United States (Area 4) on the Board of Directors of the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association.  She is the area 4 representative on the NCBFAA Freight Forwarding Committee, and the Chairman of the NCBFAA Educational Institute. 

Jan resides in Savannah Georgia with her husband Billy.  They have two grown sons and one daughter in college.  Jan holds a 1^st degree black belt in Karate, which sometimes comes in handy in this industry.
