Kaitlin Sighinolfi

       Kaitlin Sighinolfi currently serves as Trade Policy Advisor for Congressman Charles W. Boustany Jr., M.D. (LA-03) handling all issues of trade, transportation and energy.

       In her role with Congressman Boustany, Kaitlin works to highlight her boss’ efforts to support international trade to open markets, lower barriers and allow U.S. companies to compete globally. Specifically, working to promote important legislation authored by her boss – most notably the RAMP Act and PROTECT Act – to ensure our waterways are properly dredged and maintained at our ports, and to protect US companies from unfair and illegal practices taken by foreign competitors.

       Previously Kaitlin worked as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-ME). Born and raised in Brewer, Maine, Kaitlin attended the University of Maine and received her BA in International Affairs/Political Science. Following graduation, Kaitlin moved to DC and started her political career as a staff assistant for Senator Snowe. She has been a proud member of the Louisiana delegation since July 2012.
