Area 5 Merit-Elizabeth Tremper

Merit-Elizabeth Tremper has been in the Transportation and Logistics industry for 29 years. She received her U.S. Customs Brokers License in 1997 and prides herself as being a “Compliance Geek.” Merit is currently President of Merit Trade Consulting Services LLC and had previously been Vice President of Customer Solutions at RIM Logistics, Ltd in Roselle, IL. Merit serves as the Area 5 Representative to the NCBFAA Transportation Committee and is the liaison to CESAC. In addition, she is the Chairperson on the Domestic Working Group under the Transportation Committee. Merit also serves on the NEI Committee, Drawback Committee and contributes her time and expertise whenever needed. Merit serves the Chicago Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association CCBFA) as a Director and has held that position since 2003. She serves on the Education Committee, Scholarship Committee, Membership Committee, the Website Committee, and enjoys coordinating training seminars in Chicago that help train our local Industry.

Merit lives in South Elgin, IL and is the proud mother of two.
