Myra Reynolds serves as the Director of Corporate Import Compliance for the John S. James Co. Primary responsibility includes monitoring and ensuring the proper compliance of the import operations of the John S. James Co.

Myra began working with the John S. James Co. in 1977, in Savannah, Ga. She has maintained responsibility for the company’s import operations and compliance for 27 years.

 

Myra serves on several nationally recognized committees and boards in the customs brokerage industry. Currently, she is the Area 4 Representative for the Customs Committee for the NCBFAA . Myra serves as the southeastern representative on the Regulatory Affairs Committee, where we meet monthly with multiple government agency representatives, including, FDA, CPSC and other on current issues affecting imports.

 

In April 2005, the NCBFAA received approval from CBP to present an overview of the Customs Brokerage industry to Import Specialists during their 12-week training course at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers. At the request of the Customs Committee, she helped establish the curriculum and became a guest instructor for this program. Since its inception, over 1000 Import Specialists at the Federal Law

 

Enforcement Training Centers in Brunswick, GA. and Charleston, SC., have received this presentation, as to our industry processes and the overall value that Customs Brokers add to international trade and compliance.  She was recognized by Commissioner Kerlikowske at the Government Affairs Conference in 2015, along with the NCBFAA for her contribution to this program.
