Grant Goldsmith is licensed Insurance Broker and Consultant in the United States.  He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Insurance from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy and the University of Swansea in Wales.  He is the President of the Houston Maritime Arbitration Association. He holds the designation of Certified Risk Manager International (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).  He has a Master of Arts diploma in Strategic Communication and Leadership (MASCL) from Seton Hall University in the United States.  He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Systems Engineer from the United States Military Academy at West Point.  He is a graduate of several elite military schools to include the Combined Arms Services Staff School, US Army Airborne and Air Assault schools.

 

Grant entered the professional insurance industry in Philadelphia in 2001 as a commercial Property and Casualty broker with The Graham Company.  He served with this large regional broker managing and placing US and multinational business.  He took a position with The McIntyre Group in 2004 as this company was newly forming.  He again managed large US and multinational accounts.  The Public Warehousing Company K.S.C. (Agility) became a client of The McIntyre Group in 2005. At Agility’s request Grant moved to Kuwait in early 2006 with his family to head the new Agility Global Risk Management Department as it rapidly acquired logistics companies throughout the world.  He manages all of Marine, Specialty and Property and Casualty concerns for the Agility group of companies operating in over 178 countries.  His duties included working closely with the Agility Human Resources Department to manage the Life, Health and Personal Accident insurances both in the Middle East Region and Globally.

 

Grant returned to the USA in 2010 and started a specialty government contracting company called Overwatch, Inc.  Overwatch was acquired by Avalon Risk Management in mid 2012.  Grant now serves as Vice President of the Southern Division for Avalon Risk Management and he works in the Houston Office.  Overwatch continues to operate as a division of Avalon.  Avalon Risk Management is a specialty broker for surety and insurance to the logistics industry.
