Mark Shacklette is a Customs Brokerage Compliance Director for UPS Supply Chain Solutions and a Licensed Customs Broker since 1991.  He works extensively with the global brokerage operations at UPS and his primary focus is China, India and Africa.  He also works with the UPS global audit team, assisting with “Customs and Brokerage” audits around the world each year.

 

Mr. Shacklette’s career at UPS began in 1987 and he has spent 28 of his 29 years with the Customs Brokerage function. During his career, he has also been involved with numerous acquisitions, including Fritz, Menlo and the Miles Group.   

 

Mr. Shacklette chairs the NCBFAA subcommittee for the Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEE) and moderated the CEE panel at their most recent annual conference.  He is also involved with the NCBFAA Customs Committee and Large Broker Committee and represents UPS with the Express Association of America (EAA). He is also a speaker and panelist at various trade events.

 

Mr. Shacklette graduated from the University of Louisville in 1988.  He recently completed a term on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association in Louisville and is also a heart attack survivor.  In his spare time, Mr. Shacklette is a fitness instructor at the YMCA, teaching a strength class called “BodyPump”.
