Los Angeles CBP Field office has advised that the ACE Cargo Release system has been unavailable to process cargo at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for more than an hour as of 3:00 pm on 11/14/2017.

As per LAX down time procedure, ACE Cargo Release can be processed as paper for shipments on hold that may be perishable or otherwise need expedited clearance. Priority counter service will be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Counter service is for clearance of freight that is on the ground at LAX.

Filer should provide paper entries with all relevant documents (invoice, bill of lading, PGA documents, etc.), and must provide two copies of either an entry document (CBP Forms 3461 or 7501) or a cover sheet with identifying information for each shipment.

Please look for CSMS messages to the trade to provide updated status on ACE.
