Reynolds, Myra K.

 

Myra K. Reynolds is the Director of Corporate Import Compliance for the John S. James Co. in Savannah, GA. She joined the company in 1977, and maintained responsibility for the company’s import operations and compliance for more than 30 years. Her primary responsibility includes monitoring and ensuring the proper compliance of the import operations of the John S. James Co. She is a licensed customs broker, and the Area 4 Representative of the NCBFAA Customs Committee. In addition, she serves as the southeastern representative on the Regulatory Agency Committee (RAC), which meets monthly with the Participating Government Agencies on current issues affecting imports.

 

She also serves as the Chairman of the ADD/CVD Subcommittee for the NCBFAA and works directly with the ADD/CVD Revenue Branch of CBP in hopes of streamlining the dumping and countervailing process.

 

In April 2007, the NCBFAA received approval from CBP to present an overview of the Customs Brokerage industry to Import Specialists during their 12-week training course at their Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.  She established the curriculum and became a guest instructor for this program. Since its inception, Ms. Reynolds has instructed over 1000 Import Specialists at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Brunswick, GA and Charleston, SC, as to our industry processes and the overall value that Customs Brokers add to international trade and compliance.
