Joseph L Trulik, Jr.

        Joseph L. Trulik, Jr. is the President of Russell A. Farrow (U.S.) Inc. and formerly Managing Director of Regulatory Compliance for FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage, Inc. In that role, he had regulatory and compliance responsibility for the U.S. Customs operation and the global forwarding network.

        After achieving a BA at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, Mr. Trulik began his career in international transportation and customs brokerage in 1985 when he was hired by CJ Tower & Sons. Founded in Niagara Falls, NY in 1913, CJ Tower & Sons is one of several companies that eventually combined to form FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage, Inc. He has since received an MBA from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI.

        Mr. Trulik was previously the General Manager for FedEx Trade Networks for the Central Region.  He was responsible for FedEx Trade Networks operation for shipments travelling to and from the Michigan Gateways, focusing on customs and clearance procedures and import/export forwarding needs for every mode of transportation — air, land, rail and sea. 

        Mr. Trulik previously served as a board member with the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America and was a past President of the Detroit Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association.  He was a two time recipient of FedEx Trade Networks’ Five Star Award for outstanding achievement and excellence and is both a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) and a Certified Export Specialist (CES).
