Merritt, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Merritt partners with regulatory agencies in the spheres of customs, security, dangerous goods, mail and e-freight to facilitate the movement of cargo; promotes the domestic and international interests of A4A’s 10-member airlines and the industry at large. She manages the A4A Cargo Council and its work to identify emerging issues, develop consensus industry positions and proposed solutions, positively influence policy and ensure efficient implementation of cargo regulatory initiatives. Serves on the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee – (COAC – DHS/Treasury) and the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness (Commerce), as vice-chair of the International Air Transport Association’s Cargo Customs Working Group, as a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trade Ambassador, and as industry chair of the Air Cargo Subcommittee of the TSA Aviation Security Advisory Committee.
