Orta, Natalie

Natalie Orta is a Senior Area Manager in the Coachella Valley representing the Orange County/Inland Empire District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Natalie has worked with the SBA for over twenty years and is actively involved in outreach efforts targeting the small business population in the Valley.  She prides herself in her ability to connect with community resources and establish long lasting meaningful relationships.

She has organized and participated in business seminars sponsored by numerous civic and private organizations. She presents on a number of topics of interest to small businesses including, but not limited to, SBA Programs and Services, Access to Capital, How to Start a Small Business, Government Contracting, Cybersecurity and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Ms. Orta can also present the abovementioned subjects in Spanish, which she learned during fifteen years of residence in Mexico, where she taught English as a second language to executives, factory workers, resort employees, engineers, and children. Her ability to communicate with ease in Spanish resides in the fact that after her long stay in Mexico she considers herself Mexican by assimilation.

A graduate of the University of California at Irvine, Ms. Orta has had significant experience in both working with and consulting for small business in both the United States and Mexico. She also studied in France where she was exposed to European small business practices and traveled the Continent extensively.
