Erin Ennis has been Senior Vice President of the US-China Business Council since February 2015, after serving as Vice President since 2005. In that position, she directs USCBC’s government affairs and advocacy work for member companies and oversees USCBC’s Business Advisory Services. A Look at Customs Business, Reasonable Care, and Broker Responsibilities

 

Precis: Brokers have been facing more and more new challenges. Binding rulings and new processes are chipping away at the definition of Customs Business. TFTEA regulations are being developed that are expected to put more responsibility for brokers knowing their customers. Brokers are seeing more scrutiny not only by CBP, but also by other government agencies. This panel will discuss where the future of brokers and enforcement is going.
