Clarke, Colleen

Colleen Clarke has been involved in the international trade segment of the insurance field since 1988, and has led various initiatives to improve policies and partnerships between CBP, the surety industry and the trade. She is Vice President, Surety Trade Relations & Business Development for Roanoke Insurance Group Inc.
Ms. Clarke started her career in the industry with Washington International Insurance Company. She held various roles throughout her tenure there, including that of a customs claims adjuster, customs bond underwriter, division manager and marketing director. She also implemented the Sarbanes Oxley compliance model and auditing of the customs bond book of business.

She has participated in numerous trade associations and has been a member of the Trade Support Network (TSN) since 2000.  She serves as a TSN Trade Ambassador and co-chairs the TSN Surety Account Subcommittee and TSN Revenue Committee. She is the President of the International Trade Surety Association (ITSA) and frequently engages with CBP as a representative of the Customs/Surety Executive Committee (C/SEC).  Ms. Clarke was previously appointed to the Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of CBP (COAC) on which she served during the 11th and 12th terms.
She is a licensed insurance broker in Illinois and a Certified Customs Specialist.  She is also a member of the NCBFAA Legislative Committee as well as the NCBFAA ISF Subcommittee.
