Cook, Sharron

 

Sharron Cook is a Senior Export Policy Analyst that has been working for the Bureau of Industry and Security of the Department of Commerce for 32 years.  She has been a licensing officer of electronics, computers, and telecommunications.  For the past 24 years, she has been developing and implementing export policy, as well as revising and updating the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), counseling and educating industry and government employees, and participating at the Wassenaar Arrangement Expert Group meetings.  Her focus at BIS is national security; reexport export policy; and the Unverified List. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Computer Science and Mathematics.  She is also the Editor of the EAR.
