Education Director Joins NCBFAA’s Washington, DC Staff

Washington, DC: The National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc. (NCBFAA) has announced that Ms. Hanan Bedri has joined the NCBFAA staff as Education Director in its Washington, DC office. As Education Director, she is tasked with, among other things, overseeing the NCBFAA Educational Institute department, marketing its certifications programs, developing educational outreach and ensuring that the Association meets its education and professional development goals.
        “It is a tribute to the growing influence and importance of the NCBFAA that it is able to attract such a talented and motivated individual as Hanan Bedri to undertake this challenging and important assignment,” said NCBFAA Executive Vice President barbara reilly.
        
Ms. Bedri’s wealth of relevant association experience that she brings to her new role includes training management, instructional design, needs assessment, volunteer / committee management and institution of core competency / professional development models.
        
“For me this is a wonderful opportunity to help the Association provide our members and the industry with a worthwhile educational experience that not only contributes to the knowledge base of the individuals involved but also to the overall professionalism of our industry,” Ms. Bedri said.
        
Her educational credentials include an M.A. in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH and a B.S. in Community Health Management from Ahfad University for Women, Sudan. She expects to receive an M.A. in Education & Human Resource Development George Washington University, Washington, DC this year. Ms. Bedri has also done coursework at the American University, Washington, DC.
