Washington, DCIt will be NCBFAA days at the "Happiest Place on Earth" as the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America, Inc. (NCBFAA) celebrates its 30th Annual Conference, "Security Imperatives and the Bottom Line: Meeting the Challenge," at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Lake Buena Vista, Florida. 
        Scheduled keynoter Ross Shafer is a 6-Time Emmy Award winning Comedian/Writer/and TV Host who will kick of the Conference at the Monday morning Keynote Breakfast. Just before Mr. Shafer’s address the NCBFAA will present the winner of its XL Insurance sponsored $5,000 NCBFAA Annual Scholarship Award.
Highlights of the Conference include Monday’s NCBFAA Annual Meeting where the election of new officers and half the Board of Directors will take place. Also on Monday, the NCBFAA’s Affiliate President’s Network is sponsoring two sessions, "Carrier Customer Services - Rationalizing the Costs" and "Brokerage at the Border - Getting the Job Done." In addition, attendees can participate in two management sessions, "Internal Audit & Employee Training - The Perfect Marriage" and "Supply Chain Logistics & Global Trade Compliance Solutions."
        Tuesday’s sessions are geared to the forwarders side of the business and will include panels on: "Orange Alerts & Red Flags: A Government View"; "NVOCCs - Achieving a Level Playing Field"; "Not Just Counting Heads Anymore – CENSUS and Mandatory AES Filing on Your Radar Screen."; "Cargo - Fast Deliveries vs Air Security - Balancing the Challenge"; "FMC - A Proactive Approach in Today's Challenging Environment"; "Forwarders as Unwitting Enablers to Internet Fraud Schemes"; "NCBFAA Shipper's Association - Financial Opportunities - Cash in Your Pocket"; "Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) – How do They Work?"; and "Where Do We Go From Here? The Realities of Security and Profitability."
        Wednesday is Customs Day most panels focused on custom broker issues such as: "ACE Release 3 - Broker Portal & Monthly Duty Statement"; "FDA - BTA; The Latest Security Service in the Broker's Suite"; "Advance Cargo Information; Cost Factor or Profit Spinner"; and "CBP Addresses Broker Issues." The day will conclude with a debate on the topic of "Should NCBFAA Become a Professional Association?"
Interspersed throughout the four day affair will be a Sunday golf tournament and reception, Monday gala black tie optional 30th Anniversary celebration banquet, various tour packages, and a closing reception.
