Strauss, Amy

Amy Strauss currently serves as the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Security at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role, she manages myriad economic security policy issues, to include foreign direct investment, technology, and supply chain issues.

Strauss joined DHS Policy in 2017 as the Director of Trade Policy. managing a diverse portfolio of border trade and transit priorities. Prior to joining DHS, she oversaw the development of Customs and Border Protection’s predictive analytics systems and led capacity building efforts with other customs authorities in the arena of compliance management.
